Stakes high in race for State Superintendent

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson has won CFT support in a race with particular importance to educators. Torlakson has established a strong record of promoting public education. He is committed to expanding early childhood education as way to increase student success and has also demonstrated a particular interest in career and technical education.

Torlakson faces a candidate backed by the millionaires and billionaires who want to privatize public education. The stakes have never been higher in the race for state superintendent.
