December 15 — On the same day that state Republican lawmakers proposed enormous cuts to state education funding, Fresno City College instructors and students rallied in front of their campus to draw attention to the looming problems in public education if the Legislature fails to provide adequate resources.  Cynthia Callaghan, adjunct instructor at Fresno CC, explains to news cameras that she stands to lose at least one of  the courses she teaches because of the refusal of Republican legislators to compromise—"and my students will lose part of their future," she said.
