Sacramento, CA — This weekend the CFT State Council voted to endorse Adam Schiff for U.S. Senate in the upcoming November Election. CFT President Jeff Freitas released the following statement on the endorsement:

“CFT is proud to endorse Congressman Adam Schiff for the U.S. Senate. A stalwart defender of our democracy, Adam Schiff has had a long and successful career advocating for public education and working families, and as he has stood with our members in our fights for fair contracts, we are proud to stand with him as he continues that critical work in the U.S. Senate. 

“As a former adjunct professor, and a former AFT member at the Glendale College Guild, AFT Local 2276, Adam Schiff understands how important it is to support our public school educators and staff, and how fighting for the workplace rights of education professionals translates to the success of our students.”
