Early Childhood Education Strategies
- Day One: Neuroscience is clear that foundations for prosocial positive outcomes in life need to be built in the pre-school years when the brain is optimally sensitive and behaviors and attitudes are modifiable. Join representatives from the AFT and Think Equal, an innovative global initiative dedicated to early childhood education through social and emotional learning (SEL) for a peek into a groundbreaking curriculum designed to cultivate empathy, equality, and emotional intelligence in children, laying the foundation for inclusive, just, and peaceful societies.
- Day Two: Co-regulation can be defined as the supportive process between caring adults and children, youth or young adults that fosters self-regulation and promotes well-being. This highly engaging session exemplifies research-based, developmentally appropriate strategies for creating warm, caring environments, de-escalating behavior, partnering with parents, and attending to our own social-emotional well-being.
