CFT Disaster Relief Fund
CFT has an emergency relief fund for members who have suffered catastrophic losses. If you have lost your home or other property because of the fires, please email us at disasterrelief@cft.org with your name and contact information. We can also assist you in applying for AFT disaster relief funds as well.

Free trauma counseling for CFT members impacted by the fires
All active, working CFT members can access free trauma counseling if they are injured or traumatized by natural disasters like fires. The benefit offers one-to-one counseling sessions with a licensed therapist with a master’s degree or higher who has advanced training in post-traumatic incident recovery. More at the AFT member benefits portal.
FEMA resources
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is offering up to $770 to residents affected by the wildfires, a one-time federal payment to go toward immediate needs such as water, prescriptions and baby formula. (More details here.)

- Discounted Hotel Stays for Fire Evacuees
- Report Housing Violations: If you’re facing unsafe living conditions or unfair treatment, you can report these issues to the LA Housing Department.
Transportation

Lyft: Riders in need can use the code CAFIRERELIEF25, valid for 2 rides up to $25 each ($50 total) for 500 riders from now until 1/15 at 11:59 p.m.
Uber: Use promo code WILDFIRE25 in the wallet section of your Uber app to redeem 2 free Uber rides up to $40/each for transportation to/from active shelters.

Gently used clothing and supplies – +COOP is well stocked with gently used clothing and supplies for anyone impacted by the fires. Thursday-Sunda from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (7282 Beverly Blvd., CA)
