“By appointing Julie Su as U.S. Labor Secretary, President Biden has made it clear that his dedication to a worker centered labor movement in this country continues to be a priority for this administration. Su has long been a tireless advocate for workers in California and across the country and has a track record of success with both employers and the labor movement. CFT worked closely with her during her time as California Labor Secretary and we intend to continue that positive working relationship.

“Julie Su also joins Biden’s cabinet as its only Asian American member. As AAPI hate continues to rise across our country, we are grateful to see representation of the community at such a high level and hope to see her appointment serve as inspiration for the AAPI students we serve in our schools.”
