The following is a statement from CFT President Josh Pechthalt calling on the Trump administration to immediately cease separating families at the border:

“As educators and school workers who spend our lives in service to our students and their families, we call on the Trump administration to immediately cease separating families at the border. Using vulnerable families as bargaining chips in a debate about immigration is not only shameless, but cruel and immoral.”
